Desert & Mountain Hiking Trails

Looking for some great Arizona desert or Bradshaw Mountain hiking trails for individual or group hiking activities? The Gold Bar Ranch offers hiking trails through ranch property, along the Hassayampa River and through the Bradshaw Mountains.

You can choose to hike to many different locations including gold mines, historic cemeteries, rivers,Indian ruins, mountain ridges, lush green valleys and spring fed creeks.

What more could you ask for in an outdoor getaway from big city life? The Gold Bar Ranch offers cool refreshing comfortable year-round temperatures that are about 15-20 degree cooler than Phoenix.

Fresh summer air, mild autumns with changing colors and springtime wildflowers. Surrounded by forested mountains of juniper pines, willows and cottonwoods, Walnut Grove is conveniently located less than a three-hour drive from Phoenix.

ATV and OHV Trails

It seems to be getting harder and harder to find good spot in Arizona that is a great place to ride ATVs, quads, dirt bikes and OHVs. Area users, who prefer to ride ATVs or dirt bikes, find this area a very technically challenging area that is not congested like many off-road trails and parks in Arizona.

The Gold Bar Ranch, “where the west stays wild,” is that vast region of Arizona west of the Hassayampa River. Much of this remote and largely unsettled area is traversed by more than 5,000 miles of dirt roads. Road conditions range from well-maintained graded roads, to high clearance two-tracks, to challenging routes that require 4-wheel drive vehicles. No services are available in this largely back country area, so be prepared (bring plenty of gas).

Motorized vehicles are generally limited to existing routes, with wilderness areas closed and National Monuments limited to designated routes. Watch for signs in these areas. High Desert to Ponderosa Pine Forest. Generally all seasons, however, avoid use in wet weather.

Note – I do not have ATVs, OHVs, or dirt bikes for rent. You must bring your own.

Horse Riding Trails

If you want to bring your own horses then there are an abundance of great horse trails leaving right from the ranch. Send me an enquiry to find out more…
